About QR Code Tools Online

QR Code Tools Online is a free collection of browser-based QR and barcode utilities. Generate plain QRs, WiFi-connect QRs, vCard contact QRs, classic 1D barcodes, and stylized art QRs — or decode any QR image you upload. Everything runs in your browser.

We built this because most online QR generators silently track every code you create, serve dynamic codes that expire when the service dies, or watermark your output. Our codes are static and yours forever.

What We Offer

Our current toolset:

  • QR Code Generator — Encode any URL or text into a standard QR with configurable size and error correction.
  • QR Code Reader — Upload any image and decode the QR inside using jsQR.
  • WiFi QR Code — Create a QR that auto-connects phones to your WiFi network — perfect for cafés, hotels, and home guest networks.
  • vCard QR Code — Encode contact details into a QR so anyone can scan and add you to their address book.
  • Barcode Generator — Generate Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 39, EAN-8, and ITF-14 barcodes using JsBarcode.

How It Works

Generation uses the qrcode, qr-code-styling, and JsBarcode libraries. Decoding uses jsQR. All run inside your browser tab. The URLs, WiFi passwords, contact details, and uploaded images you process never leave your device.

Why Browser-Based?

Encoding a WiFi password into a QR is a privacy task: anyone who can see the QR can join the network. Encoding contact info is the same — once the QR exists, it speaks for you. Generating these in the browser means the values never appear in a server log, never get cached in a CDN, never become a future breach.

Static vs Dynamic QR Codes

Our QRs are static — they encode the content directly. They will scan forever, work offline, and have no service dependency. Many commercial QR services sell dynamic QRs that redirect through their server; if that company disappears, every printed code breaks. We avoid that trap entirely.
